Affordable Plastic HTC M8 Ace ‘Vogue Edition’ Leaked

As the competition is heating up, every manufacturer is trying to keep the price of the devices as low as possible. HTC has a habit of using premium quality material for the construction of their smartphone, leading to higher prices than its competition. It’s no secret that HTC has been working on an all-plastic construction for their upcoming device, the HTC M8 Ace. According to a Chinese website, the rumored device is all set to launch on the 3rd of June this year.

At a quick glance, except for the plastic body construction, the upcoming device looks a lot like the HTC’s previous flagship, the One (M7). The official images have been revealed, showing that the device will be available in four colors – white, black, blue, and red.
The specs reveal that the new device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with 2.5 GHz quad core CPU, BoomSound stereo speakers, 13MP main camera, and a 5MP front-facing unit.

Though the size of the display has not been revealed, but going by the past rumors, it is said to be a 5″ 1080p unit. There are also no indications of the Android version that is going to be onboard, but most likely it will be the Android 4.4.2 KitKat along with HTC’s latest Sense 6 UI.  There have been also be no word regarding other specifications. The battery capacity, connectivity options, inbuilt storage and expandable storage  are still unknown on the new HTC smartphone.
The real question arises now, is how this device will be priced and if it would be lucrative for buyers to invest in. Expectations are that it will be priced aggressively and well below their flagship model. Will this phone lead to the companies shift in image of selling overpriced devices? Hopefully yes, the Taiwan based manufacturer will now move towards a new design philosophy.
